Welcome to the Yolo Prostate Cancer Support Group.
We’re here to help each other.
The Yolo Prostate Cancer Support Group invites men, their spouses and family members to meet with prostate cancer survivors to learn about treatment options. Participants benefit from candid discussions about experiences with disease management and progression, imaging studies, medical and surgical procedures, recovery, and side effects. Attendance and informative handout materials, as available, are free of charge.
To participate in streamed meetings: fill in the Zoom video conference invitation request form on the lower portion of our “CONTACT” page. 2024 meeting schedule and locations

FUNDING: We do not assess dues, nor do we charge for admission to our meetings. This website and our periodic publications are funded through generous donations from individual Yolo Prostate Cancer Support Group participants, to whom we extend our gratitude. We are grateful to the Woodland Community and Senior Center and to the Yolo County Library for letting us hold our meetings in their facilities in the past, and we look forward to eventual resumption of in-person meetings when public health protocols enable us to do so. |

We serve residents of Davis, Woodland, Winters, West Sacramento, Dixon, Esparto and other communities in Yolo, Sacramento and Solano counties.
Many of our meetings include presentations by experts. Our guest speakers have included urologists, oncologists, radiation therapists, medical research scientists and other practitioners. We also schedule roundtable discussions to enable men who are recently diagnosed or merely curious to learn from the experiences of men who have been treated for prostate cancer or are being monitored through watchful waiting. The Yolo Prostate Cancer Support Group, founded by the late Harold Honeyfield of Davis, is a community service organization operated by unpaid volunteers. Our expert guest speakers have included:
